A storm high in the mountains of Western North Carolina can be dramatically beautiful! I took many photographs off the deck of our son's home at Mountain Air. This was my favorite one, taken just before the fog and the clouds closed in completely, blocking our view.

Dear Mitch, Thanks for your kind comments and your pod. I hope the leaves cooperate for you! We had planned to get to Mt. Air, NC next week, but work is intervening a bit. We may make it the last week of the month, hoping there are still pretty leaves to see. Have fun!
